The Cure announce new concert film The Show Of a Lost World
Tickets for the film go on sale on November 20.
The Cure have announced their new concert film, The Show of a Lost World, will hit cinemas on Thursday, December 11.
The Show of a Lost World was captured during their performance at London's Troxy last year, which celebrated the release of their album Songs of a Lost World.
The concert featured a 31-song setlist, including the only full live performance of the album to date, as well as a 45th Anniversary tribute to their 1980 record, Seventeen Seconds.
Songs of a Lost World marked The Cure's first album in 16 years. The band later released a remix album featuring artists such as Four Tet, Mogwai and Chino Moreno of Deftones.
The record focuses on the themes of ageing, mortality, loss and the fear of death. Robert Smith wrote the songs following the death of his brother and other family members.
Formed in 1978, The Cure has sold over 30 million albums worldwide, headlined the Glastonbury Festival four times, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019
The Cure will play Dublin's Marlay Park on Friday, June 26, 2026.
Tickets for the gig are available on Ticketmaster.ie
