Stand Up acts announced for The Deirdre O’Kane Show on Sky One
Sky has unveiled a host of comedy greats who will accompany Deirdre O’Kane on stage when she hosts her new entertainment show for Sky One from Dublin’s iconic Olympia Theatre.
Suitably titled ‘The Deirdre O’Kane Show’ the series will be recorded live this April over four days and will air on Sky One this autumn.
Stellar stand up acts across the five shows will include comedians Bill Bailey, Tommy Tiernan, Kerry Godliman and Reginald D. Hunter who will be joined by both new and established talent including Neil Delamere, Emma Doran, Catherine Bohart and Martin Angolo. More big names will be announced in the coming weeks.
Audiences can expect to play a big part in the show too, as hip-hop musical act Rob Broderick, a.k.a ‘Abandoman’ and his house band bring the audience on a magical journey, transforming the audience’s likes, loathes and daydreams into hit songs and captivating tales.
Speaking on the news, Deirdre O’Kane said: “I’m overjoyed that Sky has enabled us to showcase such an incredible assembly of comedic talent, from well-known Irish and international names to exciting emerging acts. Fair play to Sky for recognising the wealth of Irish stand up talent," - the comedian continues, "and supporting the entire comedy scene through its backing of this huge show, filming right here in the heart of our capital city."

The Deirdre O’Kane Show films live at the Olympia Theatre from Thursday, April 8 to Saturday, April 11. Tickets are €23.00 and can be purchased at ticketmaster.ie.
