Quentin Tarantino scraps plans for his final film
The director has abandoned his 10th and supposedly final film, The Movie Critic.
Quentin Tarantino has reportedly scrapped his plans for The Movie Critic. The film would have been the director’s 10th and final project.
Deadline reports that Tarantino changed his mind and that he is going back to the drawing board for his final film.
The 61-year-old director has always said that he would put out 10 films before retiring, but considers Kill Bill to only be one film even though it was split in two.
"Quentin Tarantino’s movies are always full of surprises, and here is one about The Movie Critic we did not expect. @DEADLINE can reveal that Tarantino has dropped the film as his 10th and final project. He simply changed his mind..." https://t.co/YXFMGYH9u1 pic.twitter.com/DL5nKySSC4

The Movie Critic has been highly anticipated since Tarantino announced that Brad Pitt would be joining the casting of the film. It was supposed to be set in California and inspired by the director’s job as a teenager, loading porn magazines into a vending machine.
The Movie Critic would have told the story of a 1977 porn film reviewer, working for a fictional publication called The Popstar Pages.
Although Tarantino has pressed pause on a film before, as he did with The Hateful Eight, it seems this time he's abandoning The Movie Critic completely and moving onto a new project.
