Official teaser trailer released for Victorian Psycho

The official teaser trailer for the comedy-horror film Victorian Psycho has been released.

Set in Victorian England at the isolated manor of Ensor House, Victorian Psycho follows an unusual governess, Winifred Notty, played by Maika Monroe. She quietly hides her psychopathic tendencies from the estate's children and staff. As Winifred assimilates, staff begin to disappear and suspicions grow about the new governess as she descends into madness.

Zachary Wigon directed the film from a script by Virginia Feito, based on her novel of the same name. It stars It Follows and Longlegs' Maika Monroe in the lead role, along with Jason Isaacs, Ruth Wilson, Tomasin McKenzie, Evie Templeton, and Jacobi Jupe.

Victorian Psycho was first announced back in 2024. The Substance's Margaret Qualley was to initially to star in the film. By 2025, Qualley had exited the film, with Monroe replacing her.

It had its debut yesterday at the Cannes Film Festival, and is set to be released in Irish cinemas in September.
