Numerous Irish stars receive BAFTA TV Awards nominations
Irish actors Róisín Gallagher, Éanna Hardwicke, Sharon Horgan, Graham Norton, and Máiréad Tyers have been nominated for this year’s BAFTA TV Awards in the UK.
A host of Irish stars have been announced as nominees for the 2024 BAFTA Television Awards, including Róisín Gallagher, Éanna Hardwicke, Sharon Horgan, Graham Norton, and Máiréad Tyers.
Gallagher has been nominated in the category of Best Female Performance in a Comedy for her role in The Lovers. Tyers received the same nomination for her performance in the Disney+ series Extraordinary, alongside Emma Moran, one of the show’s writers, who has been nominated for her work as a screenwriter.
Hardwick is among the nominees for Best Supporting Actor after his performance in BBC’s true crime series The Sixth Commandment, while Horgan is on the shortlist for Best Leading Actress, for her performance in the BBC drama Best Interests.
The Graham Norton Show has received two nominations. The Graham Norton Show is nominated in the Comedy Entertainment category while Norton himself is among the nominees for Best Entertainment Performance.
The winners of the 2024 BAFTA Television Awards will be announced on 12th May at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
