New Game Of Thrones film under development
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film will follow King Aegon Targaryen’s conquest of Westeros, taking place about 300 years before HBO's Game Of Thrones pilot.
Warner Bros are officially developing a film adaptation of Game Of Thrones.
With production underway, the Hollywood Reporter have revealed the feature film will follow King Aegon Targaryen’s conquest of Westeros, taking place about 300 years before HBO's Game Of Thrones pilot. Simultaneously, HBO is working on a series following the same storyline.
Based off the 5-book series by American author George R.R. Martin, Game Of Thrones has seen several series adaptations, from HBO's original show running from 2011 to 2019 to the sequel House Of The Dragon premiering in 2022. The additional spinoff, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms starring Galway actor Peter Claffey, debuted in January.
Last month it was announced that a Game of Thrones stage show will be coming this summer by the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Additionally, Martin is currently in the process of finishing his 6th book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series.
