Electro Musician David Holmes' Directorial Debut to Screen on RTE2 Tonight
I Am Here, a short film from Belfast-born electronic musician David Holmes, will be aired on Irish television tonight as part of RTE2's Shortscreen series.
Broadcasting at 12.05am, the film centres on a lone man (Edward Hogg) who awakens after death. He journeys through an idealised Ireland to see his parents, played by Game of Thrones' alum Liam Cunningham and Michelle Fairley.
The film features autobiographical elements, with the lone man being based on Holmes' deceased brother.
I Am Here is shot by legendary DoP Christopher Doyle, who was cinematographer on movies by Jim Jarmusch, M Night Shyamalan and Wong Kar Wai.
As well as being an acclaimed electronic musician, Holmes has also scored various major films - collaborating regularly with Steven Soderbergh (Out of Sight, Ocean's Eleven).
