Bruce Springsteen documentary to air on Hulu and Disney+
Thom Zimny’s Road Diary: Bruce Springstteen and the E Street Band is set to premiere this October.
A new documentary about American rock legend Bruce Spingsteen and his classic companions, the E Street Band, is coming to Hulu and Disney+ this October.
Created by Thom Zimny, Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will follow Spingsteen and his band as they prepare for their first tour in six years, which began in February 2023 and will run through November 2024.
Featuring exclusive interviews and archival clips of the musicians, Zimny’s documentary will highlight the unexpected twists and turns of tour life, including unexpected illnesses that lead to a number of postponed dates. The feature film will also zero in on Springsteen’s creative process, offering up fly-on-the-wall footage during rehearsals and backstage moments.
Zimny has been a longtime collaborator of Springsteen’s, having directed the singer’s recent films Western Stars and Letter to You, alongside the Netflix special Sprinsteen on Broadway.
Production credits for the feature are shared by Zimny, Springsteen, Adrienne Gerard, Sean Stuart and the rock star’s manager Jon Ladau.
