Andrew Scott to star in Netflix's Back in Action alongside Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx
Fresh off the back of his success with Ripley, Andrew Scott will be returning to Netflix later this year in Back in Action
Netflix announced the premiere of Back in Action to be November 15, with BAFTA winner Andrew Scott to star alongside Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz in the new action-comedy.
Although the Irish actor’s character hasn’t been revealed yet, we know that Diaz and Foxx play a married couple who, years after giving up life as CIA spies to start a family, find themselves dragged back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown.
Diaz chose to break her 10 year film hiatus in Back in Action alongside her Any Given Sunday and Annie co-star Jamie Foxx, who said that they became friends after working on a couple projects together.
“I’ve been begging her to come play with me again. We all know there’s just something about her,” He said, to which Diaz responded; “I couldn’t have asked for a better partner, on-screen and off.”
The comedy film is directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Baywatch), from a script he co-wrote with Brendan O’Brien.
Back in Action also stars Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts, and Rylan Jackson.
Netflix has revealed new images of the spy comedy, focusing on its two leading stars while carefully hiding any spoilers, but there is no hint in the images as to who Andrew Scott will be playing.

Back in Action will be available to view here on November 15 2024.
