WATCH: Trailer for Karl Pilkington's First Scripted Comedy
Sick of It will air on Sky One
The trailer for Sick of It, a new sitcom written by and starring Karl Pilkington is out now.
The show centres on Karl (Pilkington), a man living a mundane life who has just broken up with his girlfriend. For advice and support, he begins speaking to an imaginary physical representation of his inner-voice (also, Pilkington).
According to IMDB's plot synopsis, the series is a depiction of what Pilkington's life could have been like had he not met Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. Together, the trio made smash hit programmes The Ricky Gervais Show and An Idiot Abroad, while Gervais and Pilkington worked on sitcom Derek.
Sick of It looks both melancholic and witty. It will be the first scripted series from Pilkington. Therefore, it will be interesting to see the presenter make the transition to acting and leading man.
No release date has been set. However, the series will air on Sky One.
