Luca Guadagnino’s new love story gets Oscars buzz.
The trailer for Call Me By Your Name was released today. The film, based on the acclaimed novel by André Aciman, takes places during an Italian summer in 1983. 17-year-old Elio Perlman (Timothée Chalamet) lives with his father (Michael Stuhlbarg) and mother (Amira Casar) in their villa, spending his days transcribing music and reading. One day, an American doctorate student comes to intern with Elio’s father. As the summer progresses, Oliver (Armie Hammer) and Elio fall into a heady and unexpected love affair.
The film debuted at Sundance Film Festival and will be released in Ireland later this year.
