WATCH: Full Trailer For Stephen King Anthology Series Castle Rock
The series premieres on Hulu, July 25
For fans of anthology series like American Horror Story, Black Mirror and Electric Dreams, Stephen King based J.J Abrams produced Hulu show Castle Rock should be essential viewing.
The series will connect various of King's short stories, linked through the fictional American setting for much of the author's work, Castle Rock.
The trailer below, featuring a haunting use of Ricky Nelson's 'Lonesome Town', makes various allusions to King's more famous works.
The Shawshank prison is referenced. The shot of balloons floating recalls It.
Speaking of It, Bill Skarsgård who starred as Pennywise in last year's smash hit reboot of the 1986 horror novel will re-enter the King universe in Castle Rock.
The actor (who also starred in Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2) will play 'The Kid', a mysterious, feral inmate discovered in a cage deep beneath Shawshank State Penitentiary. He will appear alongside Andre Holland, Scott Glenn, Jane Levy and Melanie Lynskey.
Meanwhile, star of 1976 King adaptation Carrie, Sissy Spacek will also be in the new series.
Castle Rock will premiere July 25 on streaming service Hulu.
