Sightsavers Ireland to celebrate Women’s Day with Solas na mBan
"Solas na mBan" translates to "Women’s Light."
Sightsavers Ireland will celebrate Women’s Day with Solas na mBan on March 6.

“We are grateful to our partners at Irish Aid, whose steadfast support enables events like this to happen and underpins our ongoing work in disability inclusive development,” said CEO of Sightsavers Ireland Ciara Smullen. “Their commitment empowers us to forge pathways that promote dignity, opportunity, and justice for all.”
Moderated by journalist Maryam Madani, founder of Disability Power Ireland, the panelists include Blezzing Dada, Niamh Ní Hoireabhaird, Paula Nolan, Sinéad Burke and Sinead Kane– all leaders in the field of disability activism. The opening address will be given by activist, playwright and author Dr. Rosaleen McDonagh.
