R&B singer-songwriter GRWL drops intoxicating sophomore single 'Facetime'
In her brand new song, GRWL shares her inner-most thoughts with unabashed rawness and honesty.
Dublin based R&B pop artist GRWL returns with her hypnotic sophomore track ‘Facetime’.
The newly released single captures its listeners in a seductive haze, the mellow rhythm and sultry vocals melding together to create an irresistibly alluring track. The candid lyrics explore the new complexities of relationships brought on by an ever-changing world.
“It’s a song about online relationships, missing someone, and only having your phone as the communication piece,” GRWL comments on her latest track.
Drawing influence from SZA, Clairo, and H.E.R., GRWL has crafted a deliberately slow and intimate sound. Last year, the singer introduced herself with her debut single ‘Overstayed’, a dreamy tune exploring the pains of loneliness and heartbreak. GRWL has also proven herself as a live act, taking the stage at a number of iconic Dublin venues such as Whelans, The Grand Social and The Workmans Club.
The singer-songwriter is currently working on new music, which she plans to release in the near future. With the easing of restrictions, GRWL is also looking to start doing live gigs - though no new live shows have yet been announced.
