Pathway to Paris will live stream this Sunday with Patti Smith, Cat Power and more
Tune in on April 26th to celebrate the 50th annual Earth Day.
Pathway to Paris will live stream a virtual festival on Sunday (April 26th) in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Patti Smith, Michael Stipe, Flea, The Strokes' Nikolai Fraiture and Cat Power are among the performers scheduled on the day.
The festival, which was co-founded by Smith's daughter Jesse Paris Smith and Rebecca Foon, is named for the Paris climate agreement, will begin on April 26th at 4pm EST (or 9pm in Ireland). The Paris climate agreement was signed on Earth Day in 2016.
The organisation released a statement saying: “As humanity faces an unknown future, we must recognize the fact that we simply cannot go back to our behaviour from before. Both as individuals and as a globe, we are in a time of reflection, and now, more than ever, we have the opportunity to make great change.”
