New Irish Acts Added to New Sounds in an Old Place Gig
According to their website, GlasDrum aim to “bring the best music to this neighbourhood and by programming events in historic buildings in the area bring an awareness of the richness of our locality.”
The first in the Autumn series of New Sounds in an Old Place will feature Loah and Kitt Philippa. The show takes place on Friday September 14th at St John The Baptist Church in Drumcondra.
GlasDrum is an NFP arts organisation which coordinates quality arts events in Drumcondra and Glasnevin. New Sounds in an Old Place began in September 2017 and has since featured upcoming Irish artists such as Ailbhe Reddy, ROE, Soulé, Sorcha Richardson, Saint Sister and Ryan Vail.
Loah is known for her spellbinding live performances. Her music has been described as a tapestry of sound creating a magical fusion of folk, soul and RnB which she calls ArtSoul.
Kitt Philippa’s music "builds on a classical background that embraces other styles and electronics to shape a very personal sound that brings an emotional honesty to performances. With a voice that has been described as from heaven this songwriter shapes a luminous sound that explores human sensibilities."
These gigs frequently sell out, and if you are unable to attain any coveted tickets, don’t worry! GlasDrum usually set up a waiting list in case of cancellations.
Tickets are just €15 and are on sale now at glasdrum.ie.
