The annual festival takes place from Friday August 16 to Sunday 18.
The Ballaghaderreen Lakes and Legends Festival returns to the Roscommon town this weekend, with an exciting array of activities lined up across the three days.
The festival kicks off with an '80s disco night in the iconic Midnight Club in the town. Doors open at 10.30pm, with €5 admission - the equivalent of £2 in the mid-'80s.
The following night, Michael English and his band will be in town with special guest, Carrie Loftus, followed by a Country DJ later in the night. Doors open at 9pm, with tickets at €15.
Wrapping things up on Sunday night, with a family social dance at The Midnight Club, led by Chris Dallat. The family friendly event is priced at €8, or two people for €15, while under 16's go free.
As well as providing plenty of evening entertainment, the festival also presents the Lakes and Legends Ramble on Sunday, from 11.30am to 2pm. The guided tour is open to everyone, and promises breath-taking views of nearby Lough Gara and the Benbullen Mountains. The walk will follow the Bockagh Hill Loop - a 4.5km trail with some gentle slopes. Walkers will meet at the Square in Ballaghaderreen at 11.30am, and transport and refreshments will be provided.
Sunday will also be Family Fun Day in the town, kicking off at 1.30pm. The children's event scheduled for the afternoon include a dog show, a fancy dress competition, a treasure hunt, facepainting, hair braiding and the inaugural Ballagh Ball Race.
