JIT
A brash, colourful, comic romp through Harare, Jit is a Zimbabwean feature that impresses through sheer energy.
A brash, colourful, comic romp through Harare, Jit is a Zimbabwean feature that impresses through sheer energy.
The plot, what there is of it, consists of a naïve but irrepressibly optimistic country boy's attempts to win the hand of a beautiful city girl, in the face of derision from the girl herself, understandable opposition from her gangster boyfriend, the greedy wiles of her father and the less comprehensible behaviour of a wizened old magic spirit from his village.

Played out to a jit music track (including the Bhundu boys) this is spirited if amateurish entertainment.
