Ireland has always been a nation of food lovers, but lockdown has made us even more aware and appreciative of what makes it on to our plates. With this in mind, we’re bringing you our Food Glorious Food celebration of the culinary delights this island has to offer.
Food truck culture has really come into its own during lockdown with enterprising souls around the country doing their best to brighten up the lives of those living within 5km of where they drop anchor.
If you’re lucky enough to be in or around Killiney, Fred & Nancy’s silver airstream will treat you to the best clam chowder and tray-bakes in the capital.
Blessington, Greystones and the Liberties are currently where Niall Sabongi and his Salty Buoy Citroen HY van are to be found dispensing quality seafood to the socially distanced.
Pitching up on the Coast Road in Malahide is Griolladh, punsome purveyors of grilled sandwiches that will make you weep with joy.
