Hannah Gadsby is coming to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre
The Tasmanian devil returns after the roaring success of Nanette.
Australian comedian Hannah Gadsby is bringing her brand new comedy show Douglas to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin on November 17.
Gadsby gained notoriety after her hit stand-up show Nanette which sold out across Australia, London, Edingburgh, New York and Los Angeles. It was then picked up by Netflix as the first Australian Netflix Original Comedy and scooped up multiple awards.
Gadsby changed the mould of stand-up comedy with Nanette, exploring her trauma growing up as a young, queer woman and then creating an emotionally cathartic show. It resonated with audiences not just on a comedic level, but an emotional one.
Although announcing that her first stand-up show was her "retirement from comedy", she's back with a brand new show affectionately named after her dog. In the show, she states that she "quit comedy the same way Louis C.K. said he was sorry".
Tickets go on sale on sale this Friday, June 14 at 9am and are available on Ticketmaster.
