Filmore! patrols the school in new video for 'Where's Your Hall Pass?'
Filmore! is a character exploration influenced by the likes of Gen Z Tyler, The Creator using sounds of electro, punk, drum 'n' bass and hip-hop.
Music history is littered with famous alter egos, from Eminem's Slim Shady and Megan thee Stallion's Tina Snow to Tyler, the Creator's IGOR and MF DOOM.
Dafe Orugbo of Tebi Rex has clearly taken note, as he returns as the school's strict safety patrol officer Filmore! in the video for his brand new single 'Where's Your Hall Pass?'.
The clip sees Filmore! monitoring the halls for dear life, chasing around someone dumb enough to test his patience as riotous guitar riffs propel the punk-tinged track onwards and upwards.
According to a report from his teachers, the charismatic student has shown mixed abilities in terms of benefitting from the educational environment: "As you will no doubt be aware, we have been having difficulties with Filmore! for some time now - with his behaviour falling far short of the standards that we expect from students in this institution. After one particular incident involving the stationary cupboard, myself and the principal decided to offer him two options - either spend the rest of the academic year in detention or join the school safety patrol.
"He chose the latter and has certainly thrown himself into the task with enthusiasm, although perhaps a little bit too much enthusiasm at times," the report continues. "I know that he and his partner Ingrid believe they are doing the right thing by keeping the school safe for all students, especially those that he rather peculiarly describes as 'geeks', though he has taken it too far on a number of occasions."
The influence of hip-hop, drum 'n' bass and electro are clear as day, with the artist effortlessly jumping between genres throughout the track.
