FIFA 15 - Tech Review
Smack my pitch up
The pomp and pageantry of Brazil’s World Cup must have rubbed off on EA. This year’s FIFA is the best looking yet – and that’s not just next generation technology. You can always tell the quality of a football match by the faces in the crowd. In FIFA 15, the minions in the stands are animated to the nth degree. Same goes for the knobbly-kneed ones on the pitch. Over 200 Premier League players are digitally reincarnated. We see the emotion in their faces when they score; the moaning when they miss shots.
The same effort has been put into the sports grounds. All 20 Premier League stadia are depicted; or you can play as your favourite League of Ireland side. The camera replays are stunning: slow motion shots and close up player reactions. It’s almost like watching TV. The gameplay is pacier than ’14 and there’s a lot to keep you kicking. Alongside Career mode, Highlights of the Week lets you revisit recent, real world games. Match Day Live changes player stats according to real world events.
