Arlo Parks announces debut album, shares 'Green Eyes'
The record is due for release on January 29, 2021.
British R&B/pop artist Arlo Parks has announced a release date for her highly-anticipated debut album. The record, titled 'Collapsed In Sunbeams', will come early in 2021.
"My album is a series of vignettes and intimate portraits surrounding my adolescence and the people that shaped it," Parks noted in a statement. "It is rooted in storytelling and nostalgia - I want it to feel both universal and hyper specific."
Alongside the announcement came the Londoner's most recent single, 'Green Eyes', accompanied by a Louis Bhose-directed video. "This is a song about self-discovery, self-acceptance and adolescence," she said. "It is supposed to uplift and comfort those going through hard times."
Recently, Parks has offered her vocals on the latest Glass Animals track, covered Radiohead's 'Fake Plastic Trees' with Phoebe Bridgers, and been named an ambassador for British mental health charity CALM.
