After having to cut their Texas show short due to health concerns for their drummer, 5SOS are looking to reschedule remaining shows.
Currently on tour, Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) were forced to cut their Texas show short when their drummer, Ashton Irwin, suffered from pain in his left side and vision loss.
The band have also rescheduled their upcoming show in Arkansas for July 26th. Though loathe to leave their fans waiting, their bandmates health comes first.
"I feel so loved and looked after by my brothers and team and all of you. This is the price a dehydrated drummer pays when he takes on Texas heat," the Sydney-born musician tweeted
I feel so loved and looked after by my brothers and team and all of you. this is the price a dehydrated drummer pays when he takes on Texas heat. All will be made right, ticketing wise, and rescheduling wise. I love you. Thanks for the love. I’ll be back onstage ASAP! X

The quartet are set to release their fifth album 5SOS5 on September 23rd via BMG Rights Management. To tide fans over till then, the pop-rock band released three singles in May: 'Me Myself & I', 'COMPLETE MESS', and 'Take My Hand'. 5 Seconds of Summer spent two years working on the album, beginning after the release of fourth LP Calm in 2020.
The group first rose to fame with their viral covers on YouTube, later releasing their self-titled debut album in 2014. 'She Looks So Perfect' climbed the charts, earning them global success.
5 Seconds of Summer's current tour is scheduled to run through December of this year with a grand finale in Australia. But as for now, it looks to be a waiting game - both in terms of Irwin's health and the remaining months till the album release.
