As part of their upcoming All The Old 45s: The Very Best of Deacon Blue Tour, Scottish pop-rock icons Deacon Blue are coming to the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, in Dublin on Friday, August 23 – and we're giving you the chance to win a pair of tickets!
Deacon Blue are the latest act to be announced for Singular Artists’ flagship Wider Than Pictures concert series – with James Blunt (August 24) and The The (August 25) also headlining major shows this summer.
Over 35 years after their debut single ‘Dignity’ – and their debut album Raintown – Deacon Blue released their most comprehensive greatest hits anthology to date, All The Old 45s: The Very Best of Deacon Blue, in 2023.
The compilation charts the band’s multi-million selling history – featuring classics like 'Chocolate Girl', 'Dignity', 'Wages Day', 'I'll Never Fall In Love Again', 'Your Swaying Arms' and more, as well as their 2012 comeback single 'The Hipsters'.
“We’ve added so many songs, albums and EPs which have become a strong part of Deacon Blue and our live repertoire since ‘The Hipsters’ in 2012,” says songwriter and vocalist Ricky Ross. “It feels like the right time to celebrate that.”
