Clonakilty Food Co. is an Irish family brand offering tasty, traditional meat products made locally by those who value quality, taste and heritage.

The story of Clonakilty Food Co. begins over 140 years ago in 1880s West Cork – where farmer's wife Johanna O’Brien made the Blackpudding for Philip Harrington’s butcher shop. The recipe was faithfully handed down to generations of butchers until 1976, when it reached the hands of Edward Twomey. From here the company expanded to become one of Ireland’s most well-known brands.

As the company grew so too did the product range – which now includes Clonakilty Whitepudding, Clonakilty Sausages, Clonakilty Rashers, and most recently, Clonakilty Veggie Pudding. Today the original Blackpudding recipe is only known to owner Colette Twomey, who ensures it is a safely guarded secret. While traditionally served as part of a breakfast, the Clonakilty range can also be a special addition to enhance any starter, salad or main course.
