Dublin musicians wanted for HMV 'Live & Local' shows

HMV is looking for local musicians to play in their new Henry Street store in Dublin for this year’s iteration of the ‘HMV Live & Local’ series.

The music retailer is  primarily searching for unsigned musicians and bands to perform for customers in the City Centre location.  Other artists such as dancers, poets and authors are also welcome to apply.

Applicants can visit their local HMV or Fopp store and speak directly to the store manager for more information.

Alternatively, those wishing to take part can send a direct message to their local shop’s social media accounts or fill out the hmvlive&local enquiry form.

In 2022, English singer-songwriter India Arkin released her debut album on HMV's new record label 1921 Records, following a string of  shows throughout the Live & Local event.

Last year the chain had over 1000 live shows in HMV and Fopp locations across the UK. The Dublin location opened on 30 June and is the first HMV in Ireland for over 10 years
