Harlem native Azealia Banks brought her explicit brand of rap to Dublin’s Academy last night, just after a sold-out gig in Belfast. HP's Aine O'Donnell was there to catch the controversial star in action.
Banks hit the stage fashionably late wearing a catsuit complete with cut outs, a '90s tie-dye print and white platform boots. She performed a mix of songs from her EP 1991, the Fantasea mixtape and her highly anticipated upcoming album Broke With Expensive Taste.
The New Yorker was backed up by two very energetic backing dancer who donned similar lycra ensembles. DJ Cosmo and Lil Internet were on the decks, providing the backing tracks for Banks.

The rapper played to a sold-out crowd of self-confessed members of the “Kunt Brigade”, the collective name for devoted fans of Azealia Banks. Banks closed the short set with her biggest track '212' and her newest single 'Yung Rapunxel' as an encore.
