Motion To Rejoin
New mexican drone rock duds. Tune free zone.
Based in New Mexico, Brightblack Morning Light are a boy/girl duo who dabble in psychedelic soundscapes and folk music. If that isn’t enough to send you recoiling in horror, it gets worse. Not a single song on this self-indulgent slab of wax actually goes anywhere. They may have cool song titles (‘Hologram Buffalo,’ ‘A Rainbow Aims’) but it’s all a bit samey and comes off like they’ve listened to far too many Spiritualized records. Not for me.
Key Track: ‘Gathered Years’
