The New Year
For just under two decades, brothers Bubba and Matt Kadane have spent the majority of their time together crafting as near perfect slices of sonic Americana as they could.
For just under two decades, brothers Bubba and Matt Kadane have spent the majority of their time together crafting as near perfect slices of sonic Americana as they could. Not ones to be rushed into anything, this latest release is their third record under the New Year moniker (before that they put out music as Bedhead) and while it may have taken four years to make, not a single note sounds laboured or workmanlike. In fact it’s quite the opposite, most of the ten tracks sound absolutely effortless (‘The Company I Can Get,’ ‘X Off Days’) and this self-titled release stands as their most accomplished to date.
Key Track: ‘The Company I Can Get’
