Rory picks up Best Album award

Rory Gallagher's solo album God Bless The Big Bang picked up the award of Best Album of 2009 from Lanzarote's English speaking radio station UKawayFM.

UKawayFM caters for the huge number of Irish and British tourists who have made the island their second home.

The singer himself splits his time between Lanzarote and Donegal and wrote most of the new album in his new abode.
