Sami Liuski has already delved into the vaults of late 70s and early 80s music as Bangkok Impact and now he hooks up with Pauli Jylhankangas to pay tribute to Italo Disco. Re-living the brilliantly cheesy melodies, tight funk and daft, tragic-comic lyrics common to Italo, unlike their contemporaries, I-F and Legowelt, they make no attempt to disguise or update their fixation with this sound. The only concession to the present day is the duo’s clubbier tempos and tighter beats, which will hopefully open up this unique sound to a new generation of clubbers.
