Award-winning author to make a special appearance at Science Gallery next month
Sir Terry Pratchett is a writer beloved by fantasy fans and science teachers alike.
Science Gallery will host a very special event with the author of the iconic Discworld series, Ankh-Morpork City of Science 2012. Joining him will be the co-authors of The Science of Discworld series, Ian Stewart and Jack Cohen, books which explore the science behind the fiction.
The former journalist and prodigiously productive author has produced a staggering number of published works, and holds eight honorary doctorates.
One came from TCD in 2008, where he lectures on occasion as the adjunct Professor in the School of English.
In the last few years he has made the news repeatedly, through his work with the Alzheimer’s Research trust, and last year presented a BBC documentary entitled Terry Pratchett: Choosing to Die on the subject of assisted death. It won a BAFTA in 2011.
