Senakah: Human Relations
Limerick outfit consolidateon album no.2...
It’s been five years since Senakah’s well-received debut Sweeter Than Bourbon. In the intervening period, the Limerick four-piece have hauled ass up and down the highways of America, playing almost 300 live shows. They have also tweaked their name (previously they were Seneca).
Returning from the US, they recruited The Cranberries’ Noel Hogan to shape album number two. Recorded in 27 days in the former Bishop’s Palace in Limerick, Human Relations is a cracking indie record, confirming Senakah as a group of considerable potential.
They show their hand from the off with opener ‘The Frontline’. Strings, alternative guitar and Rob Hope’s ethereal vocals combine to winning effect. Elsewhere, they move into Muse and Foo
Fighters territory with impressive effect. A solid second effort.
Key Track: ‘Stronghold’
