Patrick Stewart: Cowboy Crooner?
“Sometimes it takes an Englishman to teach us what’s great about being an American”.
Ever thought Captain Picard was meant to be a country singer? Have we got something for you.
Patrick Stewart appears in a new video promoting his career as a “cowboy crooner”. The Professor X-actor hams it up, green-screened over canyons, sheriff’s offices, and outer space. He performs classics like ‘Ghost Riders in the Sky’ and ‘El Paso’.
The ad claims Sir Stewart has four country albums, including a Christmas record and a duets record with artists like Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.
http://www.pstewsings.com/ claims the records are “sold out”, but a five-song sampler is available for purchase. The proceeds go to the International Rescue Committee, so it’s all for a good cause.
The whole thing seems to be a joke, so don’t expect Cowboy Pat’s Songs for Lonesome Lovers to leak any time soon.
