Deputy Luke 'Ming' Flanagan has unveiled details of his private members Cannabis Regulation Bill 2013 this morning and Hot Press caught up with him at the launch to find out exactly why he feels it is so necessary.
"It's time to stop persecuting over 150,000, maybe a quarter of a million people every year," he argues. Flanagan also wants to "turn back the clock" on those who have already been convicted.
In this short interview, Flanagan also reveals how he had to "choke back the tears" when he received support from two emminent doctors, after 16 years of campaigning.
