The Script at Thomond Park (Photos)

Interstellar Script sets Thomond Park into Universal Euphoria. Danny O'Donoghue (lead vocals, guitar, piano, keyboards), Glen Power (drums, percussion, backing vocals), Benjamin Seargent (bass, backing vocals) and Ben Weaver (guitar) brought their "Satellites World Tour" and their only Irish open-air date of the year Shannonside for an night to remember. A particularly moving highlight of the evening was the dedication to Mark Sheehan. While always present in the band's spirit, “I want to thank every single person in here for all of your prayers over the past year and a half,” said singer Danny O'Donoghue.

Satellite being the operative word as the band kicked off with 'Superheroes' and 'Rain' from a satellite stage in the middle of the gold circle. Surrounded in a sea of fans and phones as they performed a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious opening, this ended with an explosion of confetti as the band raced back to the main stage.

Support acts James Bay and Allie Sherlock set the stage beautifully, warming up the crowd with their impressive performances. Bay's soulful voice and well-known hits were a perfect complement to The Script's energy, and Sherlock's rising talent was a welcome addition to the bill.

Thomond Park, known for its incredible atmosphere, proved to be the ideal venue for this momentous occasion.
