Frances Bean Cobain Teases New Song, 'Damn Near Killed Myself'
The daughter of grunge icon Kurt Cobain, Frances Bean Cobain has just teased her latest track 'Damn near killed myself' on Instagram and so far it has generated almost 74,000 likes.
It was reported earlier this year that the daughter of the Nirvana frontman and Courtney Love had signed a two-album record deal with Colombia.
The only child of Kurt, Frances Cobain was born on August 18, 1992 in LA and she was reportedly named after Frances McKee, the guitarist for the Scottish indie pop duo The Vaselines.
She was not even two-years-old yet when her father sadly took his own life in April 1994.
According to Rolling Stone magazine, the title and cover photograph for the 2005 Nirvana rarities album Sliver: The Best of the Box were chosen by then 13-year old Frances.
Apart from music, Frances has worked as a vial artist and model.
When it comes to music it's very much a case of like father, like daughter. Frances has certainly inherited her late father's talent for writing good tunes.
Frances sings on the new track: “No one told me how I should love myself / Damn near killed me / Damn near killed myself / I’ve been stuck inside your time capsule / Don’t you think you ought to let me go.”
