Merciful Hour, what a show! Bell X1, one of the most popular acts in this country for more than two decades, took Cork City by storm last night at Live at the Marquee. The trio of Paul Noonan, David Geraghty and Dominic Phillips rocked a full house under the big tent as they brought their newly released album ‘Merciful Hour’ to Lee Side. The 10-song LP took center stage including lead single ‘Haint Blue’ followed by ‘As The Demons Have Their Say’, ‘Something Electric’, and ‘Spacewalk’. The new album was intertwined with highlights from the past ‘The Upswing’, ‘Rocky Took a Lover’ and ‘The Great Defector’.
BellX1 was supported on the night by Soda Blonde with Faye O’Rourke on lead vocals who gave a powerful performance.
