Ms Rachel pledges to match Macklemore's donation to charities that support Palestine

Children's YouTuber Ms Rachel has announced she will match US rapper Macklemore's 1 million dollar donation to charities that aid Palestine.

The rapper announced earlier this week that he will be donating his net earnings that he made from Ed Sheeran's LOOP tour to charity. This comes after he was dropped as a supporting act from the tour due to his calls for a 'free Palestine,' during his opening set at the MetLife stadium in New Jersey on September 4.

Several stadium owners contacted Sheeran following Macklemore's opening set and threatened to pull the show from stadiums if he was not removed from the tour.

Ms Rachel, real name Rachel Anne Accurso, explained her reason for the donation in a statement.

"I will match Macklemore’s donation and I invite every wealthy white celebrity to match it and speak out against the genocide in Gaza.

"Over 20,000 precious Palestinian children have been killed and children continue to be killed every day.

"We have a moral obligation to use our privilege and platforms to protect children and human rights."

Accurso will be donating to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, she is also an ambassador of the charity.

Macklemore commented on the post, expressing his thanks to the YouTuber.

"Wowwww…. Love you so much."

He will donate his tour earnings to the PCRF, as well as five other organisations: HEAL Palestine, Gaza Soup Kitchen, Medical Aid for Palestinians, UNRWA USA and American Near East Refugee Aid.
