Fontaines D.C. and Kneecap among acts launching new Together Against The Far Right alliance
The alliance will organise a major demonstration in London on March 28, 2026.
Over 50 organisations and a number of artists and politicians have launched the new Together Against The Far Right alliance, including Irish acts Fontaines D.C. and Kneecap.
Together will be mobilising and organising across the UK prior to holding a major demonstration in London on March 28 2026, in an effort to build unity and solidarity against the growing threat of the far right.
Other musicians backing the alliance include Paloma Faith, Brian Eno, Paul Weller, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Joy Crookes, Aurora, Napalm Death and more.
Actors / comedians Christopher Eccleston, Sir Lenny Henry, Mark Rylance, Alex Lawther and Juliet Stevenson, are also among Together’s backers.
Supporting organisations include Love Music Hate Racism, Stand Up to Racism, Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Solidarity Campaign and Friends of Al-Aqsa, Trades Union Congress, Friends of the Earth, Show Racism the Red Card, UNISON, Unite, Stop the War, Muslim Council of Britain and many more.
Thousands of members of the public have also joined the organisation – which you can do here.
In a press release, the alliance explained: “The far right’s false promises exploit the very real economic pressures facing ordinary people, using them to scapegoat migrants, Muslims, and refugees. In response, the alliance aims to unite the country and show that our true strength lies in solidarity.”
"There is no world that I want to live in where discrimination is acceptable for anything,” said Paloma Faith. “No race, gender or class is superior to any other... this is why racism makes my blood boil."
Sir Lenny Henry added: "We stand for love over hate, hope over fear and unity over division. We're coming together against racism. Join us, be a part of it."
The March protest comes as a response to the growing number of far-right protests in the UK. On September 13, for example, Tommy Robinson mobilised over 100,000 of supporters onto the streets of London in the largest far right demonstration in British history.
