U2 have denied reports that they are to play a BBC Music Live gig
U2 have denied reports that they've agreed to perform at a BBC Music Live concert which will happen simultaneously in May 2004 in Belfast and Dublin.
Asked about a story which ran last weekend in the Belfast-based Sunday Life, a band spokesperson told hotpress.com, "They weren't approached and have no plans to take part."
The Corrs (who were similarly linked by the tabloid) have also confirmed that they currently haven't been approached.
The paper also suggested that Rod Stewart, Tom Jones, The Eagles and Oasis could be involved intthe cross-border initiative.
