Wild Beasts are splitting up
The English four-piece broke the news via Twitter this morning (25th September).
After releasing their fifth album Boy King last year, Wild Beasts has decided to call it a day.
Posting a photograph of a typed sheet of paper signed by each member, the group wrote,
"Wild Beasts are coming to an end.
"Our hearts and minds have been devoted to the band since we were teenagers. We've created something quite of our own and built a body of work which we stand by as heartfelt and true.
"The four of us have decided, for our own reasons and in our own ways, that it is now time to leave this orbit."

Adding that "further announcements" will be made later today, the group has not confirmed whether it will be cancelling its performance at Bristol's Simple Things Festival on October 21st.
