Whelan's presents Brave New Stage band competition

Are you and your bandmates ready to conquer the world with your life-changing tunes? Budding Snow Patrols-in-the-making are being offered a chance to enter a battle of the bands with a difference.

While unsigned bands entering the Brave New Stage competition will be fighting out with their peers as is the norm, said stage is that of the legendary Whelan’s in Dublin. Bands will also be given invaluable advice from Ireland’s music moguls before and during the contest, which holds €20,000 worth of prizes.

The competiton kicks off with a workshop for 20 hand-picked entrants at the end of March. After this a series of showcase nights at Whelan’s, judged by industry bods, audience members and internet votes, will determine the four finalists for Saturday 30 April.
