Whelan’s announces trio of gigs
Three gigs have been confirmed to take place in Whelan’s, on Wexford Street, Dublin 2.
Sheffield indie-rockers The Arctic Monkeys will play at the venue on August 21, with special guests still to be confirmed.
They have been described as spiky, witty indie-rockers, in a similar vein to The Libertines.
Adam Green (pictured), formerly a member of indie-folk eccentrics The Moldy Peaches, will be playing Whelan’s on August 21.
Tickets for the concert, which will see Green performing with a full band, cost €15.
The National will bring their brand of angular garage rock to the Dublin venue on Saturday November 19.
They will be playing tracks from this year’s acclaimed Alligator album.
