Wayne Kramer kicking out the jams in Drogheda + Mountjoy visit
The Droichead Arts Centre is the venue on May 2 for Grit, Noise & Revolution: An Evening With Wayne Kramer (MC5 & Other Tales).
Part of the Drogheda Arts Festival, the Motor City legend will perform a solo set and then talk to Irish Times journalist Tony Clayton-Lea about his remarkable career and personal trials and tribulations.
Kramer, who formed the Jail Guitar Doors organisation with his wife Margaret Saadi-Kramer and Billy Bragg, will also be speaking in Mountjoy Prison and jamming with the in-house band.
Wayne has made a couple of visits to Ireland over the past 15 years - first for a Whelan's show with his Mad For The Racket supergroup colleagues Clem Burke, Mani and Brian James and then for another kick out the jams, motherfuckers! with his own band in The Village.
