WATCH: JFK 11/22/63 assassination drama premieres next month in the US
J.J. Abrams and Stephen King who penned the titular novel are both on board
J.J. Abrams, Stephen King and Bridget Carpenter of Parenthood fame are the heavyweight executive producers of 11/22/63, a nine-hour "event series" about a high-school teacher who travels back in time, as you do, to try and prevent the assassination of JFK.
Howl and Milk man James Franco stars as the quantum leaper, former Home & Away heartthrob Daniel Webber plays Lee Harvey Oswald and the supporting cast features familiar faces from Transformers, 24, Deadwood, There Will Be Blood and Grey's Anatomy. First-run rights have been snapped up in 18 European markets including the UK but, not as yet, Ireland.
If it's a patch on the 2011 Stephen King novel of the same name, we're in for a treat of epic proportions! It premieres Stateside on President's Day, AKA February 15.
