WATCH: James Darkin releases debut track
'Needle Noise' is the first solo cut from long-time Temple Lane Recording Studios engineer
James Darkin has shared 'Needle Noise', the first track from his debut LP Involved.
Well known from his role as Head Engineer at Temple Lane Recording Studios, James has racked up sessions with Kanye West, Will.i.am and Rihanna over his decade-plus on the scene, as well as mixes for the likes of Hozier and R.S.A.G.
His first solo effort is a slice of moody electronic richness, where distorted synths mix with pounding rhythms in what's an altogether appetite-whetting taste of what's to come.
The album arrives later this year, but in the meantime, feast your eyes on the first cut below.
