WATCH: Dublin duo PHOENO drop stunning new video with Jamie XX collaborator for 'Alive'
Watch the stunning visual for the band's first-ever single below.
Indie-electronic band PHOENO have released a new video directed by Italian filmmaker Luca Truffarelli, best known for his work with Jamie XX on 'Idontknow'.
The visual for the PHOENO's track, 'Alive', features the two members of the band walking through near-empty streets of Dublin, shot as if it was all one take.
Produced with a skeleton crew due to COVID-19 restrictions, the visual for the band's debut single was an attempt to "speak to our collective isolation but comes with an uplifting message of hope and a promise of future joy."
It will be the first in a trilogy of music videos shot by Truffarelli, with a narrative linking the three visuals together.
Dubliners Adam Matthews and Liam Corbett formed the band back in 2019, and say that the track is about taking control of your lives and being fully awake to the world.
"We are outsiders done with old, useless, ill-fitting moulds," they say.
When starting the band, they decided to ignore typical structures of indie rock music and instead allow for more electronic sounds to feature.
