Vince Staples shares single 'Are You With That?' ahead of self-titled album release
Another preview of Long Beach artist's third record has just been released.
Californian rapper Vince Staples has dropped the second single from his self-titled record coming out this Friday, July 9.
'Are You With That?' features the 'Big Fish' artist talking about street and gun violence, amongst other topics.
This third studio release will be the follow-up to 2018's FM!, a concept album that attempted to mirror local hip-hop radio stations. Its cover art was a tribute to Green Day's iconic 1994 release Dookie.
Speaking about his newest album, Vince said that it would "give much more information about me that wasn’t out there before."
"That’s why I went with that title. I feel like I’ve been trying to tell the same story. As you go on in life, your point of view changes. This is another take on myself that I might not have had before."
The track comes fresh off the heels of his last single 'Law of Averages' released last month when the album was announced.
